Two Truths and a Lie

1. I have never broken any bones.

2. I have jumped off of a bridge into a river.

3. I have a quarter coin collection with all states collected but Arizona.

  1. I think the lie is that you've never broken any bones.

  2. I think the lie is the one about having all of the state coins except for Arizona.

  3. Ok, nothing really out of the ordinary here so it’s really difficult to attempt to detect a lie in any of these. This will require that I fall back on my typical test taking strategy; never say “never.” This means that you have broken bones before, perhaps many bones and maybe some of those breaks happened when you jumped off that bridge into the river?

  4. I have to agree that I think your lie is that you've never broken a bone. If you're risky enough to jump off a bridge than you've probably taken a few other risks in your life which I'm sure caused you to break a bone.

  5. I agree that the lie is that you've never broken any bones. A quarter collection seems doable, and jumping off a bridge into a river seems like fun, but breaking bones seems like it is almost a fact of life.

  6. I think the lie is the quarter collection. I have a quarter collection (mostly kept up by my mother) and I know how simple/difficult it is to get some of these coins. Arizona, however, is a strange pick to not have. I would think that Alaska or Hawaii would be a bit more challenging, but Arizona, not so much. Unless you have something against that state and don't want it or something...

  7. My lie is that I do not own a quarter collection. I have actually jumped off a bridge although it was not as high as most of you probably think it would be and no I have never broken any bones.
